My life is changing all around me
It's out of control
I watch others standing still
Going about their daily lives
As though nothing is happening
And nothing ever will
Can't they see!

Someone reach out to help me!
People open your eyes and see!

My thoughts surround me with confusion
Life keeps pulling me back in to a hole
Can't they see the emptiness in my soul?
Don't they know the beat of my heart?
But when I think all is lost
When it is almost too dark to see
It is Jesus who speaks to me
"Open your eyes and see!"
"Open your ears and hear!"
"I see you, know you and love you."
" I do understand the beat of your heart."
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. Thy rod and staff they comfort me" (Psalm 23:4).
"Since we have a great high priest, Jesus the Son of God who is able to sympathize with our weaknesses. Let us the approach the throne of grace with confidence. So that we may receive mercy and find grace. To help us in our time of need" (Hebrews 4:14-16).
"Jesus says: 'I have told you these things, So that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world'" (John 16:33).
