Jackie met Milan who had been a rebel soldier until he had been told about Jesus in prison. Milan and another person visited Jackie in her home. She tried to avoid the visitors but was drawn by their kindness. God took a shy girl who was running away from Bible studies to become Milan's wife, helping him tell other about Jesus and His amazing power to change lives.
Milan1 and Margaret2 visited my family. They asked for the names of everyone in the house who wanted to study the Bible. My cousin wrote my name down because I wasn't there to say, "No!" When I found out they had done this, I was very irritated! A week later, Margaret and Milan came back asking to start a Bible study with me. When I heard my name, I ran out the back door to hide in a neighbour's home.
But I could not continue avoiding these kind visitors. Eventually I agreed to study the Bible. As the weeks went by, I realised that the truth I was learning, was not something to hide from, but something to seek out and share with others. I was baptized and Milan and I were married. God is so faithful and has given my whole life purpose!
God took me, a shy girl running away from Bible studies to helping Milan tell others about God's love and truth.
"For God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, of love and of a sound mind" (1 Timothy 1:7).
