This is an update from Carolynn (14 March 2010) on how God continues to bless her and how God has set her free from alcohol.
Marking Nine Months Of Sobriety
God’s graces continue to amaze me every day. He is so good and all praise, glory and honor to Him and Him alone!
My family is wonderful and we continue to grow closer to each other and to Christ every day. I am marking nine months of sobriety next week. I’ve tried so many times to stay sober on my own and have failed each and every time. People ask me what’s different this time and I am so excited to tell them Christ is my strength and in Him and Him alone, all things are possible!
Life for me just continues to get better and better. It sounds strange, but I am really enjoying the court-run DWI program. So much so, that I’m thinking about getting back into private practice. But I’ve been told by many people (counselors, the judge and probation officers) that there is such a niche out there for caring attorneys needed for those suffering from addictions such as I was. Either that, or possibly I could get into public law and actually work with the DWI program.
I continue to put my life in Christ’s hands and have dedicated my life to follow wherever He leads me. I know He “knows the plans He has for me” and I am so excited to see His work in action in my life. He truly was there all along, during the darkest of times, protecting me and just waiting for this prodigal daughter to run back into His loving arms!
I give thanks for you and your ministry all the time. You were there praying for me … me, ‘a stranger in a different land’. God heard your prayers and has performed such miracles in my life ever since. For that, I will always be grateful, knowing you were and are such a huge part of the reason I am so happy and well today.
May God continue to bless you and Changing Lives,
In Christ’s Love,
Carolynn
