God is no stranger to suffering. Jesus is the central figure in human history. He was born in Bethlehem around 2000 years ago, grew to be a man and walked on this earth like you and I. Although He was completely innocent, He was put on trial and sentenced to death in the most vicious way the Romans could think of. This was death by crucifixion. Jesus shed His blood for our sins so we can stand before the throne of God without fear.
