The rough waves
White water, misty spray,
Covers my face with the coolness of the sunset night.
Fresh and breezy,
It releases me,
As I walk along the shore,
With my Lord,
Who takes it all,
Out with the tide.
The rushing surge of waves,
From God's great creation,
Washes my feet,
But they wither and shrink,
From the salt and sand, and wind,
Which carries comforting sounds,
Of music, earth and sky,
Drifting right by,
Day by day, into the night.
God's peace radiates within me,
Through the roughness of the waves.
White water and misty spray,
As the seagull, suspended in air,
Shines in the sunset,
Embracing all of my cares.
The universe declares His majesty,
As you open up your arms,
God's canvas of beauty,
Was mine to behold.
And as I watched the sun fall into the night,
I saw the pulse and the rhythm of the shimmering sky,
As if the stars were God 's eyes
Sparkling and gleaming throughout the moonlit sky.
This feeling,
Embraced me
Like never before,
As I headed away from the shore.
With tears streaming down my face,
And love overflowing from my heart,
From the greatest love I had ever felt before,
Just for me,
Came a hug from God.
"The heavens declare the glory of God" (Psalm 19:1, NLT).
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16, NLT).
"For the truth about God is known to them instinctively. God has put this knowledge in their hearts. From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see his invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God." (Romans 1:19-20, NLT).
"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak" (Isaiah 40:28-29, N.I.V.)
Grass cries from the heat of the day
Suffering in silence,
Internal decay.
But God was kind and heard your plea
And sent the morning dew you see.
Without a word He feels your strain
The endless days you pray for rain.
Your tears dry up upon your cheek
As thunder wakes you from your sleep.
You felt as though you were alone
An inside job where no one roams.
But God was there before grass cried
He checked you out way deep inside.
Thunder roars with great intent
As rain falls hard on grass that's bent,
Then slowly silence follows through
When rainbows stretch in front of you.
And all the things you felt before
Seemed smaller now than did before.
The grass does not cry anymore
It's bigger than it was before
God's great love for all heals.
Morning Dew is a reflection of my own experiences in life where I thought my problems, pain, and difficult situations would never end but they did end through the grace of God. Regardless of whether you share your feelings of God's faith, hope, and love in poetry, your testimony, or just being a caring person with a shoulder for someone to cry on, you DO make a difference!
I have been blessed
My heart rejoices
From the mercy you have shown
And the great things you've done for me.
My soul is cleansed
I am rejoicing
From the way that you transform me
I'll live and trust in You.
Chorus
You changed my pride to humbleness
Through your faithfulness and righteousness
Through your only Son
You've taken all the sin
I've ever done.
I have repented
In great humility
Asking Jesus Christ
To sanctify me
Through and through
To become as one with You
My love, my thanks, to you Jesus
Repeat Chorus
From your sacrifice that saved my life
and brought me close to you
Close to you
Hear my praise
Close to you
Hear my worship
Close to you
With love and thankfulness
