The battle has begun
But from the pit of my despair
I hear Him calling
Satan tries to tighten his grip on me
Satan tries to use old addictions to fuel the fire
Of self-hate that can burn within
He reminds me of my past and of the things I have done
Then God steps in
He showers me with love
He shows me the truth
And showers me with His grace
Never does He remind me of my past
Never does He open old wounds
Except to heal them properly
He turns me into a NEW CREATION
The battle over who I will serve has been won.
To God be the glory, forever and ever. Amen!
