Battle Lines

The battle has begun
But from the pit of my despair
I hear Him calling

Satan tries to tighten his grip on me
Satan tries to use old addictions to fuel the fire
Of self-hate that can burn within
He reminds me of my past and of the things I have done

Then God steps in
He showers me with love
He shows me the truth
And showers me with His grace

Never does He remind me of my past
Never does He open old wounds
Except to heal them properly
He turns me into a NEW CREATION

The battle over who I will serve has been won.
To God be the glory, forever and ever. Amen! red line

Roller Coaster Ride

Life has many twists and turns
Ups and downs
Life is a roller coaster ride
But through it all one thing never changes

God is there
He never leaves
Though we may wander far from His loving embrace
He always welcomes you back with open arms

Never will He turn His back
Because of what you have done
Never will He remind you of what
You might have done in the past

He can heal your pain
Mend your heart
His love and forgiveness is free for the taking
He is the Great forgiver

Healer of all things
By His blood
We are made whole again
God is a cushion for you and me
On this roller coaster ride called "life" red line

I was lost
You found me

I ran
You led me home

I tried to end my life
You saved me

I tried to destroy my life
You picked up the pieces

I cursed you
You reached out to me

When I ask why
You showed me your nail scared hands

You shower me with your love
You surround me with your mercy and grace

And it is this that sets me free at last

My world has been turned upside down
I am being attacked at every turn

No one in my life is safe from harm
My day gives way to night
Trying hard to find my way

As I fall to my knees ready to give in
I see a glimmer of light

As I run toward it
I am reminded of the truth
Jesus loves me
And He will never leave me

He makes darkness turn to light
He makes the wind and waves calm

By just putting my faith in Him
He pulls me through the storm
