David wanted a career as a doctor but his father and God had other plans. There are eight brothers in David's family and like King David he is the youngest. In a few minutes, the Holy Spirit changed David's life and now he is a pastor.
When I was a child, my father and mother said to me that they wanted me to become a pastor. I wanted to be a doctor. Nevertheless, we could not go against God's will.
When I was 15 years old I passed the matrix exam. In those days, a pastor came to our home. He said to my father; "God is calling your son." My father replied, "I have eight sons." The visiting pastor said to call the sons. My father called me first. The pastor looked at me and said to me, "Son, God is calling you for His ministry."
At that very moment I felt an unusual change as if something had entered my body. Within one to two minutes, I was totally changed. I felt the presence of God as the Holy Spirit came into my life. I agreed to become a pastor
(Jesus said) "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit - fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name" (John 15:16 N.I.V.).
I went to seminary with the pastor. The seminary professors were amazed that I wanted to be a pastor because I was only 15 years old! They praised the Lord who had chosen me. They had known God's will for my life.
I graduated in theology after completing seminary in 1995. Remember King David. They were eight brothers and David was the youngest child and God chose him when he was child. The same is true in my case. We are eight brothers and I am the youngest child. I praise the Lord who chose me just as He chose King David.
I praise the Lord who has chosen me for His purposes and ministry and to bring His word that brings salvation.
God's command; "Go … and teach all nations."
