About Andy

Andy has released his debut album entitled "Everyone's a Model" and the track "Do you believe in God?" won the Judges Encouragement Award at the Australian Gospel Music Songwriters competition in 2002. His music and ministry has taken him on many great adventures; internationally to Thailand, Fiji, and recently to Nepal as part of Cornerstone ministries (Noosa), to play at the International Music Festival in the national football stadium and hotels and functions around Kathmandu in celebration of the Mount Everest Golden Jubilee. Closer to home, in sunny Queensland, Australia, Andy has played with his family and the "Leg Rope Band" at schools, youth groups, many brands of churches, and the Australian Gospel Music festival.

Friends have a powerful influence on us. Andy became a Christain after his friend's lives became transformed.

Good childhood

I was born in Stanthorpe, Queensland, Australia but grew up on the Sunshine Coast. I developed the taste for the surf at an early age. In my family there were my mum and dad, two brothers and my one sister.

Starting to look for answers

I had a pretty good childhood but I started to search for answers as a teenager during a tough time away from home at boarding school while my folks worked overseas. My brother and I had some pretty amazing experiences while we were travelling alone to Asia to visit our family for holidays.

Do you know Jesus?

On returning to the coast for my final year of school, I noticed a group of friends that had changed for the better and I wanted what they had. I found out it wasn't what you know but who you know. Each of their lives had been transformed after personal encounters with Jesus.

Jesus completely changed my life

Then came the most significant, life-changing event of my life. Through the persistent prayers and encouragement of these friends, I became a Christian at 17 years of age. I met Jesus and He completely changed my life for good. (We are still the best of mates and He is still changing my life for good!)
